QUASQUETON – Angeline Ardeth “Angie” Palmer, 96 years old, of Independence, Iowa, and formerly of Quasqueton, Iowa, died of natural causes, Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Prairie Hills Assisted Living in Independence.
Carroll (CT) Arnold Troe, age 79, of Aplington, was born the son of Hazel Harriet (Juhl) and Arnold Burton Troe on November 3, 1946, in Rockwell, Iowa. He was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorton, Iowa and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton Iowa. Carroll attended school in Thorton until the sixth grade.
Kerri Deane Luhring, age 63, of Parkersburg, was born the daughter of Dean Carl and Ellen Lue (Catherall) Rodemeyer on August 1, 1962, in Hampton, Iowa. She graduated from Hampton High School in 1981. Kerri attended La James Cosmetology in Mason City and Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls.
Sharon Lynn Stanton, formerly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Parkersburg, Iowa, on July 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Kenneth (Kenny) G. Alberts, 75, of Allison, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Unity Point Allen Hospital in Waterloo. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 23, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Greene. Burial will follow at the Allison Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory, Allison.
Darwin Wubbena, 89, of Allison, passed away July 17, 2026, at the Waverly Health Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 27, at St. James Lutheran Church, Allison. Burial will follow in the Allison Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., Monday and continue until the service. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory of Allison is caring for Darwin and his family.
JoAnne Lee Schwarz, age 83, of Aplington, Iowa, was born the daughter of Forrest and Lillian (Easter) Stevens on November 26, 1942. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dearborn, Michigan. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Dearborn in 1961 and went onto study English at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
Wendell Edward Arends, 76, of Janesville, Iowa, died Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Clarksville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clarksville, Iowa.
Norrell Clarice Uhlenhopp was born the daughter of Claus and Cornelia (Harken) DeBerg, March 7, 1939, in rural Shell Rock, Iowa. At the age of 3, she moved with her family to rural Ackley, Iowa. She attended school in Ackley and graduated in 1957.

Nathaniel “Nate” Adam Bertram, age 46, of Aplington, was born the son of William James and Darla Kay (Main) Bertram on January 14, 1980, Waterloo. He was baptized as an infant at First Presbyterian Church in Waterloo. He received his education in West Milford, New Jersey, graduating in 1999.
