The Aplington-Parkersburg boys golf team suffered its first loss of the season, 155-156 to defending Class 2A state champion Columbus Catholic at Gates Park in Waterloo.
DIKE – Aplington-Parkersburg and Dike-New Hartford combined for five event titles Tuesday on their way to top-four team finishes as Dike-New Hartford’s Wolverine Invitational.
LEGRAND – Aplington-Parkersburg won four of the seven relays on its way to the team championship at the East Marshall Boys Invitational Tuesday in LeGrand.
HUDSON – Owen Pruisner won the 400-meter hurdles and anchored Aplington-Parkersburg’s winning 4 x 400-meter relay Thursday as the Falcons took third place at the Hudson Relays.
IOWA FALLS – Local schools won nine of the 19 events and had a pair of top-three team finishes Tuesday at the Gerry Lenguadoro Cadet Relays in Iowa Falls.
LAKE MILLS – Freshman Camryn Bartels won the 100- and 200-meter dashes Thursday, leading the North Butler boys track and field team to fourth place at the Lake Mills Boys Relays.
DES MOINES – Butler County schools will be represented by four events when the Drake Relays takes to the big blue oval at Drake Stadium in Des Moines later this week.
