CLARKSVILLE — Clarksville High School recognized members of the Class of 2026 during its annual Senior Awards Night, celebrating student achievement in academics, leadership, service, agriculture, career readiness and community involvement.

BUTLER COUNTY – Singer-songwriter Airyn Duffy is finding success in music while staying close to her childhood roots in Butler County. Performing at Allison Days this past weekend was a special moment, even as her music continues to gain recognition far beyond county lines.

SHELL ROCK – The Iowa town of Shell Rock is a close-knit community, but nestled inside is a restaurant that is shining new light on the city. Iowa PrimeHouse, owned by local Ehren Marks, is quickly becoming more than just a restaurant. Since opening in January 2025, the business has drawn visitors from across Iowa and neighboring states while remaining rooted in the values and relationships that define the town.

BUTLER COUNTY – The Butler County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday morning at the Butler County Courthouse in Allison, addressing routine county business and receiving updates on ongoing projects.

Following approval of the agenda and minutes from the previous meeting, supervisors opened the floor for public comment.

BUTLER COUNTY — Butler County residents who wish to participate in the June 2 Primary Election can still cast their ballots before Election Day.

The Butler County Auditor’s Office will be open for in-person absentee voting from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, Saturday, May 30. Voters may also vote absentee in person during regular office hours through 5 p.m. on Monday, June 1.

ALLISON – An idea sparked by a local chainsaw artist is helping drive meaningful improvements for the Butler County Fairgrounds.
