ALLISON — The Butler County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday, June 9, at the Butler County Courthouse in Allison, addressing personnel matters, infrastructure projects, election business, and routine county operations.

As periods of heavy rain move through Butler County, with the possibility of additional rainfall in the coming days, local officials are reminding residents to take extra precautions when traveling and to avoid flooded roadways.

HAMPTON – A grassroots effort led by Hampton resident Patrick Palmer has raised nearly $16,000 to help reduce negative meal balances in the Hampton-Dumont Community School District. What started as a simple social media post has become a powerful movement supported by a community working to eliminate a financial burden for its families.

The Clarksville City Council addressed nuisance properties, vehicle abatements, and proposed ordinance changes during its June 1 meeting.

Council members unanimously approved beginning the municipal infraction process against a nuisance property on S. Main St. while discussion on another nuisance property on N. Traer St. was tabled pending further review.

Following approval of the agenda and minutes from the previous meeting, supervisors opened the floor for public comment.
