Baking has been part of Cindy Johnson’s life for decades. The owner and operator of Butler Center Bakeshop in Allison began decorating birthday cakes when her children were young. That pastime steadily grew into a favorite hobby as she began attending farmer’s markets with her baked goods, working as a baker at Allison-Bristow schools, and holding positions at local grocery store bakeries.

ALLISON — The Butler County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday, June 9, at the Butler County Courthouse in Allison, addressing personnel matters, infrastructure projects, election business, and routine county operations.

HAMPTON – A grassroots effort led by Hampton resident Patrick Palmer has raised nearly $16,000 to help reduce negative meal balances in the Hampton-Dumont Community School District. What started as a simple social media post has become a powerful movement supported by a community working to eliminate a financial burden for its families.

The Clarksville City Council addressed nuisance properties, vehicle abatements, and proposed ordinance changes during its June 1 meeting.

Council members unanimously approved beginning the municipal infraction process against a nuisance property on S. Main St. while discussion on another nuisance property on N. Traer St. was tabled pending further review.
